Tutorial on How to Use Fit-It
This tutorial includes samples of 6 screens you could
see if you had the CD and were running the program.
These are samples that do not work but give you an idea of how easy the
program is to use.
For example, if you wanted to print a
pillow box the default size (the first size that appears on the screen),
you would only need to see
the first 3 screens shown below. You would start by inserting the
Fit-It cdrom into you cdrom drive. After a few seconds
the program will start and you would see the first
screen below, where you would click on the "Continue - I
accept the license.". Then the second screen would be displayed,
and you would double click on your template selection ("Pillow Shaped Box").
The third screen to be displayed shows the
template ready to print. Click on the
"Template" button in the Print area on the right side of
the screen, to print the template. NOTE: These are sample screens only.
This tutorial shows screens from other parts of the
program so that you can get a feel of how the program
will look when you order and receive you Fit-It cdrom.
The text in the screens below, may not appear clear on
low resolution displays. The tutorial was designed to be
displayed on a 800x600 screen. If using a 800x600 or smaller
display, please maximize the browser window to see the screens
the sharpest. If using a screen size of 1024x768 or larger then
make the browser window about 800 pixels wide for best viewing.
This is the first screen you will see after you insert the cd and the program
starts.
If this is the first time to run the program, read the license agreement,
and the ReadMe, then click on "Continue - I accept the license".
This is the second screen you will see. At the left side is the list of templates.
Click on the template name to display the template, which will appear in a default size.
NOTE: If you click a
"+" symbol next to a template name a list of addtional default sizes for that template
will be shown.
This is the third screen you will see.
It shows the template you have selected in its default size.
The fourth screen shows what will happen when you change the size
or shape of your template.
Use the mouse to click on the up/down arrows on the left side of the
window to change the size. When the template is the desired size
click on "Template" in the "Print" box on the right hand side of
the window. The template will be printed on from one to nine
sheets of paper as needed. The purple lines show approximately
how the template will be printed on the sheets. In the example
below this will print on two sheets, however if you switch your
printer in "Printer Setup" to "Landscape" Orientation then in
this example the template will print on one sheet of paper.
NOTE: You may use any size paper that your printer supports and
if you set the size in "Printer Setup" to the paper size the program
will print the template correctly.
The fifth screen, shown below, shows you how to
click on the "Instructions" tab at the top of the window to
read any special instructions about the template. If you want to
print the instructions click on "Instructions" in the "Print"
box on the right hand side of the window. The instructions will
be printed on one or two sheets of paper.
To see a larger picture of the completed item, click on the
"Picture" tab at the top of the window.
If you want to save the size information so that you can print the
same size template again later, click on "Size Information" and
a sheet will print with the name of the template and size
information so you can file for later.
At any time, you may click on any of the tabs at the top of the window.
For example, the "Template" tab to change the size of the template,
or the "List of Templates" tab to select a different template to
display.
You do not have to worry about messing anything up. Any time you select
a different template you get a fresh start.
