General Information

You can print the parts of the mini book all at one time or one at a time, just by clicking the boxes for the parts you want to print. For example, after your have determined that the book is the size and shape that you want to make, load a sheet of the paper you want to use for the cover into your printer and check only the box to "Print Cover" and then click "Print". Then load in the cardstock (or whatever your are going to use) into your printer and check only the box to "Print Book Board and Spine" and click "Print". And finally, load the paper in the printer to print the pages and check only the box to "Print Pages" and then click "Print". If you do not want the fold lines to print on any of the sheets printed, uncheck the box "Print Fold Lines" and when you click "Print" whatever sheets are printed will not have the fold lines.

If you try to make mini books that are very tall and skinny, or very short and wide, you may have to adjust the pieces that fold over the book boards to make them fit.

NOTE: On some printers the dots used for the fold lines will appear as poorly printed solid lines or as stretched dots that almost touch. The way the dots are printed is a function of your operating system and print driver and not the software.

Rectangle/Square and Trapezoid Mini Books

When gluing the book boards to the cover, fold and glue the squared off ends in first, then fold the mitered sides in and glue, this will give you a perfect looking corner everytime.

Pennant and Wedge Mini books

On the point after you fold the cover over the book boards you will need to trim the edge of the cover to look correct for your eye, the way you do the cut will depend on how tapered the point is or how blocky the point it.

Half Oval/Circle

To make the cover fit the book boards you will have to either "ease" the paper around the edge as you glue it, or make a series of small cuts in the overlapping piece so that you can glue it flat. (I prefer the small cuts myself.)

Download the program

download program to print blank Mini Book sheets, and save in a directory on your c: drive (will not work if downloaded to c:\, a zipdisk, or diskette).
